September 2021...

The last year has been crazy. In the midst of a pandemic, I turned the dreaded 50, downsized my home from 5800 square feet to 2600 square feet, and dropped my last child off at college. So among other things I am now an "empty nester" which is a term I have learned to hate. It must be time to reinvent myself. After my first son went to college, I got my real estate license, and with this one I've decided to become a blogger.

Update June 2023...

Here I go again! Update to my initial blog introduction… we have moved for the 8^th time! This move takes us to beautiful Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Hoping this one might stick because we finally live near the beach! I mean I can actually walk there from my front door.

Moving to another state meant if I wanted to keep my Realtor job, I would need to apply for my Florida Real Estate license. This is another crossroad in my life where I get to reinvent myself. So, I took a leap of faith and changed my direction. I applied for a part time job working in a Pinterest inspired craft store. Now instead of having to find ways to express my creative side in a regular job, the WHOLE time would be spent being creative! It seems perfect for me.

Join me on this next adventure, decorating my new home, making new friends, exploring a new city, and doing what I love most… crafting!

Reinvention is realigning your life with your values, dreams, and priorities.

Getting my real estate license after being a stay at home mom for 17 years was absolutely terrifying but also one of the best choices I ever made. It helped me reestablish a sense of self. What are my strengths? What am I passionate about? I can now confidently answer those questions and that’s what led me to start this blog. If people can learn just one thing from some of my experiences or tips, I have accomplished what I set out to do!
